Aufgrund des Internets und moderner Smartphones wird die Nutzung von Dating-Apps zur Partnersuche seit Jahren immer beliebter. Im Gegensatz dazu findet sich über Tinder und den Einfluss dieser App auf heterosexuelle Personen eine Menge an wissenschaftlichen Arti-keln und Untersuchungen. Es wurde ein Experiment mit 93 homosexuellen Frauen und 63 homosexuellen Männern durchgeführt. Dieses wurde in dieser Art und Weise bereits im Jahr von der Psychologiestudentin Barbara Bauer mit heterosexuellen Personen gemacht. Die Probandinnen und Probanden erhielten in beiden Fällen zwei Fragebögen und zwischen diesen wurden ihnen 50 Fotos von potentiellen Partnerinnen und Partnern präsentiert. Während Barbara Bauer feststellen konnte, dass die Bildpräsentation bei Männern in manchen Bereichen der Körperzufriedenheit eine positive, bei Frauen jedoch eine negative Auswirkung hat, konnte bei homosexuellen Personen genau das Gegenteil aufgezeigt werden. Beim Selbstwert gab es in beiden Fällen keine Veränderungen. Abstract Englisch. The usage of dating-apps is experiencing a vastly growing popularity, because of the internet and smartphones. Despite such a gre-at number of homosexual users there is barely any research on the consequences of such dating sites and their often occurring superficiality. An experiment has been conducted with 93 homosexual women and 63 homosexual men. This is based on a dating app research of heterosexuals by Barbara Bauer, a psychology student. The participants were in both cases presented with two questionnaires; in between these, 50 pictures of potential partners were shown. While Barbara Bauer found that these images were connected to partly positive perception of body awaren-ess in men and negative in women, the exact opposite was concluded with homosexu-als. Regarding self-esteem there were no dating app research in both studies. Overall, it has also been found that homosexual women were generally more content with their bodies than homosexual men.
